MEC Safety Meeting With ASA Mgmt
The MEC held a meeting with ASA Mgmt to discuss the changes to the recurrent home study testing.

While we are happy we are down to one day of classroom, we are still concerned about test questions and materials not appearing in the manual, online quizzes not accepting correct answers, and the computer system showing failure to take a test even though a FA passed the test.

We also reviewed our frustration with the cleanliness of the galleys as well as the airline's failure to properly handle FAs who come into contact with body fluids onboard. H1N1 also was discussed----we are curious why we are one of the few carriers to still not have any sort of disinfecting sprays or cleaners for use onboard.

ASA has said they will review everything. We have issued suggestions to fix all of the above situations.

ASA mgmt has indicated they are trying to find ways to better educate and refresh FAs. AFA officers here have let the airline know that is great, they just need to make sure their goals are clearly outlined for all of us.
